Samsung Beat 4 Joint Manufacturers Mobile



Apple may be the king of smart phones in the U.S., but Samsung as the undisputed king of smart phones globally. In the first quarter of 2014, the Samsung smart phones send more than the combined four major manufacturers, namely Apple, Huawei, Lenovo, and LG.

According to the research firm IDC, Samsung sends 85 million units of smart phones worldwide in the first quarter of 2014. Market share fell 1.7 points, from 31.9 percent in the same quarter of 2013 to 30.2 per cent.

Samsung has a strategy for reaching segalam consumer segment in the mobile phone business to cover the price gap. In the premium segment, the company is relying S5 Galaxy 3 and Galaxy Note.

Despite Samsung's smart phone market share declined in the quarter, but the South Korean company that still dominate the smart phone market.



The second rank is occupied global manufacturer of smart phones by Apple with 43.7 million units transmit smart phones. Apple's market share in the quarter also fell to 15.5 percent from 17.1 percent in the same period last year.

While in the third and five, according to IDC, is occupied by Huawei (shipping 13.7 million units), Lenovo (12.9 million units), and LG (12.3 million units).

According to IDC, total shipments of all smart phone manufacturers in the first quarter of 2014 to reach 281.5 million units, down 2.8 percent from 289.6 million units in the fourth quarter of 2013.
